We request payment in advance on a monthly basis. No refunds are given for days when the child is not in attendance.
A 10% family discount is offered when two siblings attend and a 15% discount when 3 or more siblings attend.
Parents are asked to contact the dance school if children cannot attend a session.
Attendance is important especially when working towards performances, therefore it is important children attend as many if not all sessions each month.
Children are expected to arrive on time. Dance is a physical activity that requires the body to be warmed up properly in order to execute movements safely.
Children must dress appropriately for their class. No dresses or skirts unless shorts or leggings are worn underneath and no denim. Appropriate footwear should also be worn for both tap and modern. Please see a member of staff for footwear information.
Planet Dance take their responsibility seriously to ensure the health & safety of all participants, staff and volunteers. We take appropriate measures to ensure the environment is safe for all. Regular risk assessments will be undertaken. Dance is an active engagement, and whilst every effort is made to avoid them, injuries can happen. The school accepts no responsibility for injuries sustained via any means other than teachers negligence.
Teaching dance is a physical activity and appropriate physical contact between students and teachers in class is essential in certain circumstances. Planet Dance recognises that such physical contact is a complex area, and we at Planet Dance also fully recognise our responsibility for safeguarding students and staff and their welfare. Dancers and parents are encouraged to discuss any worries with any member of staff.
Our prime responsibility is the welfare and well-being of all children in our care. As such we believe that we have a duty to children, parents/carers and staff to act quickly and responsibly in any instance that may come to our attention.
All staff are PVG checked and first aid trained. Any volunteer who is not PVG checked will never be left alone with minors.
Planet Dance will never disclose your information to third parties expect where the law allows or requires, or where you have given permission to do so.
